Hold That Thought, from Kim Witten, PhD

What is your one thing this December?

Published 3 months ago • 1 min read

Hi there!

Nobody needed yet another email last week, so I didn't send one. But it's Thursday again, so I'm back on it to share three useful things to help you turn overthinking into expert thinking. Here are this week’s picks:

  1. How does it feel in your body to know that you only have one thing to do in December?
  2. Want to journal out the year and write your way into the new one? The 2023/2024 YearCompass is out!
  3. Yesterday's update to the Medium platform now enables me to share great content written by other people, paywall-free (such as the first link above). That said, I still have concerns. But this has prompted me to get creative and make a page with access to every story I've written on Medium, just for you, all paywall-free and lightly organised, too.

If the link to my story archive is overwhelming, why not start with this one…

A better method for making a big decision

Are you thinking of making a change? Or maybe there's a series of small decisions ahead? It is the season for extra choices, after all. Even if that simply means saying no to a lot of things (so that you can say yes to what you really want).

For me, it's an onslaught of microdecisions, as we prepare to welcome a rescue pug into our home. As first time dog owners, we're already overthinking it. Any and all tips welcome please.

Stay tuned for updates on this and more next week!
