Getting to Less
Published 11 months ago • 1 min read
This week has been about doing less. Turn overthinking into expert thinking with these three picks on that theme:
“Subtraction is the act of getting to less, but it is not the same as doing less. In fact, getting to less often means doing, or at least thinking, more.” — Leidy Klotz on the overlooked way we can make our lives more fulfilling
“Considering different forms of doing less can help us see things in new ways, and apply the concept more broadly — well beyond our calendars.” — a short piece by me on looking at less differently
“Accept graciously, let go easily.” – Stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius, with thoughts from Nate Dickson on how it's about the person, not the praise
Extra thought…
The quote about letting go reminds me of my dog Terry and how he can encounter something scary in the world, wiggle his body for a moment, then move on like nothing happened. It's been 11 incredible weeks with him and I'm learning new things every day.
What did you do less of this week? Who or what helped you with that? Kim
