Hold That Thought

Intention. Attention. Repetition.

Hello again! Every Thursday I share three useful things to help you turn overthinking into expert thinking. Here are this week’s picks:

  1. Author Eric Barker on why habits are the opposite of rituals…and what you might want to do about that
  2. A short piece by me on how to show up when you don't feel your best
  3. Essayist, content writer, and bereaved parent Jacqueline Dooley asks why do we have to be so efficient?

There were so many great quotes in that last link. If I had to pick one, I'd go with the bit that speaks to my week so far:

“Today might be a spectacularly unproductive day. That doesn’t make you a failure.” — Jacqueline Dooley

Sometimes it's about telling yourself whatever it is you need to hear. Or at least finding the words somewhere.

Was there a particular quote that spoke to you this week? I'd love to hear it.
Kim

PS. Here's a bonus link for a bit of fun under-thinking: the deep sea
