Hold That Thought

Make it an easy finish — Hold That Thought!

Published over 1 year ago • 1 min read

Every Thursday I share three useful things to help you turn your overthinking into expert thinking. Here are this week’s picks:

  1. Starting, finishing, and 4 practices help you in-between — 12 minute video by Tiago Forte on YouTube. Less time? Jump in here
  2. “It’s easier to hit a target if you know which one you’re aiming for.” — Forms expert Caroline Jarrett, from Surveys that Work

That is, to hit your target clearly and definitively, you must imagine what done looks like. Whatever you're working on this week, take a minute to write down what you're aiming for.

  3. I want it to be EASY. Easy for me to coach you. Easy for your manager to say YES to an investment in your productivity and career development. And most of all, easy for you to get exactly what you need to reach your full potential. That's why I made you a coaching readiness workbook for an easy win-win-win

What's one thing you will finish this week? Reply and I'll share a tip to help with wherever you are on that!

Deciding how to get there Possible paths by panic_attack from Getty Images In previous weeks, we'd been exploring Vision and Mission. I'm back from a brief holiday in Malta, rested and ready to help you put all of this into practice. Which means that this week, I've been thinking about Strategy and Roadmap. Here are three things on those themes to help turn overthinking into expert thinking: 1. Putting it all together…all four of my worksheets — Vision › Mission › Strategy › Roadmap — in one...

Don't pin the butterfly Photo by serikbaib from Getty Images Last week we explored developing your Vision. This week I've been thinking about what it might take to create that. Here are three things on that theme to help turn overthinking into expert thinking: 1. Your Mission (statement), if you choose to accept it, is the work it takes to create your Vision. I've made another worksheet to help you with exactly that. Download your editable Mission Worksheet (PDF): Clarify and develop your...
