Hold That Thought

Little pig, let me in

Outwitting our wolves

This week I've been thinking about taking a moment to count to three, e.g. to pause and think it through. Here are 1-2-3 things on that theme to turn overthinking into expert thinking:

  1. The Ultimate Stress Relief Cheat Sheet in 1, 2, 3 parts. From Meredith Arthur of Beautiful Voyager
  2. Love the problem, not your solution by Ash Maurya from the 3-2-1 newsletter
  3. Three near disasters, reflections from me on Medium

Extra thoughts…

In putting together this newsletter, I went down an internet rabbit hole on The Three Little Pigs and other rules of three. Maybe I got the story wrong? What's the lesson here? It gets weirder the more you think about it.

For a little break from all that moral storytelling, this week's unthinking link invites you to spend a few minutes with your spacebar in a quiet place

For any task, project, or job, there are three ways you can go…

  • DIY – where you gather the stuff you need and do the work yourself
  • Do it with you – where you find a collaborator and do the work together
  • Do it for you – where you hire an expert to do the work for you

I've set up my own work so that I offer all three approaches…whether you want to work alone, together, or just sit back and see it get done, I can help.

And if you're not sure what you want, or whether we might be a good fit, you should definitely pop on a call with me

Even if we don't collaborate beyond our chat, you'll leave with a clearer idea about your next steps. So, please get in touch. (Or send somebody who should my way.)

If you know somebody who might get value from this newsletter, why not share with them? Forward this email to help them gain more clarity and confidence about what they're doing, too:

You can always visit the newsletter archive for all the worksheets and other free tools. Or browse podcast episodes and read the latest long-form insights. I even have a page where you can access every Medium article I've written, paywall-free

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do creating and sharing it!
