Following the little bits of light
This week I've been thinking about glimmers and reflections. Here are three things on that theme to turn overthinking into expert thinking:
- What is your top takeaway from this? It's the question I always ask at the end of sessions. I started asking myself this question and compiled all the insights. From why people overthink, how they get unstuck, not knowing the end of the story, and much more — here are my top learnings about people, gathered from the 800+ hours I’ve spent coaching these past four years.
- Kening Zhu is an artist-entrepreneur who offers another kind of reflection on work: my business is a soft hammock I weave by hand
- Last week I was thinking about flow. I'm still thinking about it; and wish I'd included this one, from Clearer Thinking
Extra thoughts…
Yesterday, I delivered a Sense Check taster session to a wonderful group of innovators working in the climate and sustainability space. I helped them answer “does this make sense?” for their current projects, using a variety of problem-solving tools, illustrative stories, and small activities to help them get unstuck. Here are the first 9 slides

For this week's unthinking link, a simple website that asks, are you OK?
Lastly, I'd love to know, what’s your top takeaway from this newsletter?
