Hold That Thought

Easy as eating 🎂 cake

Hold That Thought…

This week I've been thinking about how to make things easier and less tedious. Here are three things on that theme to turn overthinking into expert thinking:

  1. If you're like me and often find yourself overthinking what to put in a greeting card, you'll appreciate Auzin Ahmadi's advice in Soft Hobbies: How to write the best one you've ever written
  2. If you're similarly stumped by a recommendation request, Ryan Delon at LinkedIn has you covered: How to write a killer recommendation in under 2 minutes
  3. Maybe you're struggling with something bigger, something with a bit more DUST on it? That was the case for me this past decade of procrastinating yearly on my taxes. Here's how I finally did it, with 8 months freed up to think about other things

For this week's underthinking link, you should go here to waste some time, it's easy!

Extra thoughts…

Last week I introduced my seasonal coaching offer: Pay What You Want sessions. There are still a few spots remaining next week if you're interested in seeing what that's like:

One more thing, I'm creating something for you! Because I truly care about making sure it's something useful that you actually want, I'd love to know…

Thanks in advance for voting, you've given me a good steer and helped shape the direction of what's next. Stick around for more on that soon.

Lastly, a question for you re: today's theme:

What are you looking forward to today? How can you make it even more fun?

Enjoy that thing, whatever it is!
Kim

Hello! My name is Kim Witten and I’ve spent four decades overthinking absolutely everything. This has led me to various places and I've had what I used to think was a fairly messy career. Here's how I made sense of it all
