Hold That Thought

By nook or crook

Hold That Thought

Hello Reader,

These past two weeks I've been packing, cleaning, carrying, sweating, hydrating, and all things to do with moving into my new house.* Which also means a lot of planning, deciding, organising, and simplifying.

Here are three things on that last bit to turn overthinking into expert thinking:

  1. The Coffee Beans Procedure is a way to unpack all those boxes in your head containing ideas about what you should be doing with your life. By Adam Mastroianni on Substack.
  2. When you add a task to your calendar, get started on a project, or sit down to write, what is it that you're actually asking of yourself?
  3. “Working smarter is the most valuable form of working harder.” — Shane Parrish, host of The Knowledge Project podcast

This week's underthinking link offers a bit of perspective about time and our place in it: history of Earth in a 24-hour clock

Extra thoughts…

The underthinking link this week is a bit of a misnomer, but I've been wanting to share it for a while and now's the time!

Back to unpacking boxes for me.

Take carea break,
Kim

PS. What would you do with this nook in our small living room?

*For those keeping track, this is my 16th move in 15 years of living in the UK. I plan on staying here indefinitely, so open to the long-term ideas for this nook!

As always, you can find other content from me here:

Hope you enjoy these things as much as I do creating and sharing them!
